Coronado Museum is a historical museum with a focus on Seward County Kansas. We have guided tours through Dorothy’s House and the Land of Oz with Dorothy herself. Dorothy’s House is a farmhouse built in 1907 and is set up to show how Dorothy from the “Wizard of Oz” would have lived in the 1930’s. The Land of Oz is 5,000 square feet of entertainment including the Scarecrow, the Tin Man, the Cowardly Lion and Toto. Dorothy takes the tour through different scenes of the movies while telling her story. The tour ends in an Oz Memorabilia room complete with the original model of Dorothy’s House used in the 1939 filming of the movie. The 2nd weekend in October is OzFest – our celebration of the “Wizard of Oz” which includes some of the original munchkins in attendance.
